Securing Digital Media: Integrating Bitstream and DCT for Effective Image Watermarking
Image watermarking serves as a crucial technique for embedding video files into an image to assert ownership, safeguard intellectual property, and detect unauthorized usage. The video piracy issues arises from advancements in Internet services and the widespread use of various storage technologies. To address this issue we have proposed an approach that embedding video content into images using combination of bitstream and Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) techniques. The innovative method integrates state-of-the-art methodologies to seamlessly encode video data within images. Spatial and temporal domain concepts are used to enhance effectiveness of image watermarking. Experiments are conducted to analyze the insertion and extraction processes. The strategies are explored to increase watermark capacity, robustness, and enhance the visual imperceptibility for the proposed methods. Rigorous experimentation under lossy compression scenarios validates the efficiency of the proposed approach and it maintains equivalent or reduced bitrate parameters. The quality assessment metrics such as Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) and structural similarity index (SSIM) are computed to demonstrate high fidelity and quality for designed approach. In summary, the proposed work enhances image watermarking approach by embedding bitstream and DCT techniques. Particularly in safeguarding sensitive medical data and protecting intellectual property in healthcare by demonstrating the effectiveness of copyright protection and securing digital media.
