An Adaptive Forward Compensation for Enhanced PLL Based Position Estimation of Syn-RL Motor Drive
Electric vehicle (EV) drive systems that don't rely on speed sensors are more dependable, affordable, and stable. However, achieving precise control without sensors throughout whole speed spectrum is quite challenging. This paper presents an improved position and speed estimation using speed adaptive forward compensation based enhanced quadrature phase locked loop (AFCE-QPLL) technique. Syn-RL motor's active flux (AF) notion is used in proposed method to eradicate variations in estimated flux from cross-coupling. High-frequency noise and DC bias insensitivity of explained system improve its robustness. The presented method has less speed and position inaccuracy than traditional and methods. The presented system is integrated with solar PV array for augmenting battery performance. The battery performance and driving range of EV are enhanced by utilizing a roof-mounted solar panel while vehicle is in motion or stationery. The system is examined and verified using MATLAB for a 22-kW electric vehicle propulsion system based on a Syn-RL motor. It provides a thorough portrayal of EV dynamics, as well as motor battery's improved performance.
