Digital Transformation of Inventory Management System with ERP in Developing Countries for Education Institution

Efficient inventory management is crucial for enhancing services and operational effectiveness in educational environments. This study addresses challenges faced by a private university faculty in inventory management, including data recording and application usage clarity. Implementing Odoo ERP aims to digitize inventory records, facilitate quick adjustments, and enhance visibility to reduce errors. Methodologically, user needs analysis, interviews with department heads and staff, literature review, and Odoo QuickStart implementation were employed. Qualitative analysis of interview data identified issues and optimized inventory processes. Results demonstrate automated recording, lot/serial number tracking, and efficient internal transfers, improving accuracy and operational efficiency. Conclusively, implementing Odoo ERP enhances inventory transparency, supporting strategic decision-making in educational institutions.
