An Analysis of ICT Based Teaching-Learning Tools for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
In the recent decades, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has advanced significantly in the educational sector. These modern technologies have successfully been adopted in classrooms with children having learning difficulties such as Autism. ICT technology can greatly help students with autism learn and enhance their skills like social, communication, behavioral and learning skills. According to the existing research in the field, various ICT tools exist to support autistic children in the language learning process and handle day-to- day activities. Despite their popularity and consumption, only a limited number of ICT tools are accessible and used in the holistic teaching and learning process for autistic children. This paper will identify such tools and suggest the guideline these tools should follow to facilitate the teaching-learning process for ASD children.
