Enhancing Social Studies Learning Outcomes Through the Virtual Reality Learning Model: A Case Study in SDN 07 Palmerah Pagi, West Jakarta

This study aims to evaluate the impact of virtual reality (VR) models on enhancing student learning outcomes in fifth-grade social studies at SDN Palmerah 07 Pagi, West Jakarta. Utilizing a Quasi-Experimental design with a Nonequivalent Control Group, this research assesses the effectiveness of VR in educational settings. The research instrument employed was a learning outcome test, and data were subjected to quantitative analysis. Results revealed a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students utilizing VR models and those who did not, as evidenced by a sig value (2-tailed) of 0.003. The improvement in learning outcomes, measured by the normalized gain value, was 0.525, indicating a medium level of effectiveness. Consequently, the study concludes that the implementation of VR models significantly enhances students' learning outcomes in social studies.
