Enhanced Bidirectional DC/DC Converter Utilizing Fuzzy-PI Control with PWM for Dual-Battery Hybrid Electric Vehicles

The purpose of this research is to present an improved bidirectional DC/DC converter for hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), which incorporates a dual-battery energy storage system. When it comes to switching pulse production, traditional methods frequently make use of pulse-width modulation (PWM) that is based on proportional-integral (PI) modulation. Although this method is effective, it can result in problems with noise and variations in output. In order to overcome these obstacles, we offer a novel control technique that blends fuzzy logic with PI control (also known as fuzzy PI) in conjunction with pulse width modulation (PWM). The purpose of this procedure is to enhance the performance of the converter by significantly lowering the levels of noise and smoothing out the features of the output. Through comparative research, it has been demonstrated that the Fuzzy PI technique greatly improves system stability and response under a variety of load conditions, hence providing a more robust solution for the management of HEV energy production. It is possible that the deployment of this advanced control technique would result in battery electric vehicle (HEV) systems that are more efficient and dependable, thereby contributing to the growth of automotive technology.
