A Novel Quadratic Boost Converter Based on Switched Capacitor for High Voltage Gain Applications

The paper presents a novel high-gain quadratic boost converter with the benefit of non-pulsating input current, and the inductor's current is relatively low, which results in higher efficiency. The principle of operation is shown in continuous conduction mode (CCM). The proposed converters offer high step-up voltage by combining the Switched Capacitor(SC) based quadratic boost converter. Compared to conventional quadratic boost converters, the proposed converter has low inductor current and very little voltage stress across the active power switches of the output voltage, resulting in better efficiency and a low-cost semiconducting device with less cost. The proposed converter is designed, and its simulations are proofread and verified in MATLAB.
