Smart Flood Sensor Network with API for Real-Time Data and Alerts
Flood disasters pose significant threats, causing material losses and environmental damage. To mitigate these impacts, this study proposes an early flood warning monitoring system based on the Internet of Things (IoT). The system integrates an ultrasonic sensor with a water level sensor to measure river levels and uses GSM modules to provide early alerts. The methodology involves a prototyping approach with stages for designing, implementing, and evaluating the system based on actual environmental needs. Additionally, the system incorporates REST API technology for efficient data collection, processing, and sharing, enabling seamless communication through SMS or other platform services to enhance flood monitoring and disaster management.
