مدى وعي طلبة كلية الهندسة بجامعة صبراتة بالمخلفات الإلكترونية
The lack of cautionary information regarding effective and appropriate e-waste management processes may pose a potential threat to human health and the environment. This study was conducted to ascertain the extent of students' awareness of electronic waste in the Faculty of Engineering at Sabratha University, and their awareness of the risks inherent in improper handling and disposal of waste. Data for this study were collected through the distribution of 260 questionnaires. The descriptive research method was used to analyze the results and to show the relationship between its components. The Excel program was used to apply the three-point Likert scale, in order to calculate the arithmetic mean, the standard deviation ratio, and the T-test, as well as to determine the direction of the sample and the rank of the question. The results were compared with the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The obtained results show that the extent of students' awareness of electronic waste was (moderate). The general arithmetic mean of the responses of the study sample was (2.28), which is an average that falls within the second category of the three-point Likert scale. This study can be an educational value to provide the possibility for the institution students to have the knowledge on the best e-waste positive attitudes towards E-waste management. Keywords: Electronic waste, students' awareness, faculty of engineering, descriptive analysis, environment.
