( Anesth Analg. 2024;138(2):475–479. doi: 10.1213/ANE.0000000000006706) Fidel Pagés, a pioneer in segmental anesthesia, revolutionized the field by accessing the epidural space over a century ago, laying the groundwork for modern neuraxial techniques.
