Research progress of photodynamic therapy in the anti-tumor field
Abstract. Photodynamic therapy (PDT), which is based on activating photosensitizers by light of a certain wavelength to produce anti-tumor effects, has attracted much attention because of its non-invasiveness and high selectivity for tumors. In many tumor diseases with high mortality rates, PDT has achieved better therapeutic effects when combined with a variety of therapies and has become one of the most important methods for treating a variety of cancers. In this review, we have collected research on the application of PDT in cancer and its combination with chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and nanomaterials in recent years, aiming to show that the combination of PDT with other therapies deserves further exploration
