ENDODONTIC MANAGEMENT OF RADIX PARAMOLARIS: A CASE REPORT OF RARE INCIDENCE
Anatomical variations in the root morphology of mandibular molars can present significant challenges in endodontic treatment. Radix paramolaris(RP) is a rare anatomical variation characterized by the presence of a supernumerary root located buccally in mandibular molars that may complicate diagnosis and treatment planning. This case report details the management of radix paramolaris in mandibular second molar. The access cavity was modified to locate the RP canal, and rotary instruments were used for thorough canal cleaning and shaping. This case underscores the importance of utilizing advanced imaging techniques for diagnosing anatomical variations, as missing an extra root or canal can lead to treatment failure. Comprehensive knowledge of root canal morphology is critical to ensuring a successful endodontic outcome in such complex cases.
