Assessment of the Effects of Random Substrate Impurity on Microstrip Line Characteristics using Monte Carlo Method
This paper Presents an investigation of the effect of random change of relative permittivity on the performance of microstrip transmission line, Suitable computational methods have been used; namely: MONTE CARLO and FEM. While the former Method is applied for the estimation of random variation, the Latter Method estimates resulting line parameters values. Results are encouraging due the use of truncation division within the available length rather than the techniques that are based on extra-length extension. Keywords-Random Substrate Impurity,Microstrip Line, Monte Carlo ,Truncation, Threshold, propagation constant, Attenuation constant, phase Constant.
