Entre los dos mares de la «Hispania Citerior Tarraconensis»: circulación de ánforas y redes de transporte
In the last years, there has been an increase in quality data of Roman pottery in terms of an accurate classification and quantification. This means that scholars can combine pottery data from large territories looking for general trends in trade, transport and consumption. The present study of amphora circulation in the province of Hispania Citerior Tarraconensis, it is only an example of the potential of combining such information and representing it by heatmaps, though similar research with graphics and statistical data. Our paper pretends to become a methodological reflection of how quantification in Roman pottery, in this case amphorae, can shed some new light on commercial and distribution issues.
