Purification of Complex Solution of Zinc Sulfate from Copper Ions by Electrocementation Method
The aim of this work is the effective removal of copper from a complex deferrous zinc sulfate solution by electrochemical cementation using a membrane electrolyzer. As a result of the study, the parameters of the process of purification using the membrane electrolyzer were determined. The parameters obtained from the results of the studies showed that the copper content in the solution can be reduced to 0.002 g/dm3. At the same time, up to 99% of copper can be removed. Thus, after the electrochemical treatment, zinc sulfate solutions are sent to electrolysis, and copper obtained in the form of cathodic precipitates are sent to further processing.
