RUPTURED BAKER'S CYST WITH DISTAL EXTENSION
Baker's cyst is a sac lled with uid that forms in the popliteal fossa in the posterior aspect of the knee. Baker's cyst is commonly seen in conditions like degenerative conditions of the knee. Sometimes, this cyst can rupture and show intra-muscular extension proximally or distally. Such conditions can lead to complications like compartment syndrome, dissection, rupture, pseudo thrombophlebitis, leg ischemia & nerve entrapment. Here we describe one such case of ruptured baker's cyst with distal inferomedial extension.
