Material and Methods: In the present study, total of 600 participants inclusive of both medical undergraduates in their MBBS training and house surgeons practicing their house surgeon ship in medical college were enrolled. All of them were handed over a questionnaire containing 25 questions and were provided 40 minutes to answer them and return back. No interpersonal discussion was allowed. Based on the answers provided, scores were allotted and their knowledge and attitude towards Anaesthesiology was assessed. Results: Majority of medical undergraduates and house surgeons had good knowledge about Anaesthesiology as a medical speciality, whereas very few of them were aware about the role of an Anaesthesiologist.
