Prognostic value of the diagnosis of anemia in patients with heart failure: an analysis based on the Colombian heart failure registry (RECOLFACA)
Anemia represents a highly prevalent comorbidity in patients with HF in Colombia and is also related with higher mortality in ambulatory patients during follow-up period. Our results highlight the relevance of anemia in the pathophysiology of HF. Nevertheless, due to its observational nature, out study results must be validated and further explored in future studies to elucidate the potential underlying mechanisms of this association.
