IDENTICAL LEXICAL STRUCTURES IN HUNGARIAN AND SERBIAN PHRASEOLOGY
The study represents the second part of the paper named Phraseological internationalisms in Hungarian and Serbian. While the focus of previous work was on phraseological units that enter the languages through borrowing, this time emphasis is placed on idioms, which are, most likely, occurred parallel under areal impact, and are based on identical experience, customs and beliefs, motivated by a common European reality and a similar cultural background. In addition, the paper discusses phrases whose structure is identical, but the meaning is modified in one of the languages, and their semantics are partially or completely different. The last chapter analyzes structures which are partially different, the reasons why and the ways how they differ.
