Janus kinase inhibitor adverse event profiles in dermatology patients: the experience of two academic medical centres
Janus kinase inhibitors (JAKi) are increasingly being utilized for both Food and Drug Administration-approved and off-label treatments in dermatology. However, JAKi carry a black box warning concerning major side effects, including serious infections, cardiovascular events, thrombosis, malignancy and mortality. Given that there is an absence of large-scale studies examining the adverse event (AE) profile of multiple JAKi for dermatological conditions in real-world settings, our study aimed to bridge this gap by evaluating AEs of dermatology patients on oral JAKi at two academic medical centres.
