The Data Island Problem and Its Mitigation: Are We There Yet?
This article underscores various challenges with training data in the current artificial intelligence-driven era with a special focus on the data island problem (DIP), and identifies practical solutions that can help mitigate the DIP through privacy-by-design approaches or by implementing privacy engineering solutions.
