O USO DAS TECNOLOGIAS DE INFORMAÇÃO E COMUNICAÇÃO NO ENVELHECIMENTO HUMANO: REFLEXÃO SOBRE A LIBERDADE SOB A VISÃO PLATÔNICA

The article aims to analyze the effects of communication technology on human aging to ensure freedom, viewed through the lens of the philosopher Plato. By considering Plato's concept of political freedom (freedom in the polis), the article will explore how this freedom can be guaranteed in human aging, with communication technologies being proposed as one possible means. This is especially relevant given that mastering technology has become crucial for individuals to stay informed, establish social relationships, and maintain the freedom to meet their most basic daily needs. It is well known that elderly people face significant difficulties in these areas, which often leads to a restricted sense of freedom in society. Therefore, this article seeks to analyze the use of information technologies as a guarantor of freedom in human aging.
