The legal immunity of the lawyer in the Kurdistan region-Iraq (Comparative study)

The aim of this research is twofold: first, to clarify the existence of legal immunity for lawyers practicing in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and to determine the extent of this immunity.Second, it seeks to conduct a scientific and legal comparison of the legal provisions in various countries that address the immunity granted to lawyers holding the nationality of those countries. This comparison will examine how the national legislators in these countries have outlined both the rights granted to lawyers and the duties they are expected to fulfill. It is clear that most, if not all, countries have established specific laws and clear legal provisions governing the practice of law, whether within their courts or in other state institutions. These laws provide a structured legal framework that eliminates the need for interpretation by those working in various state institutions, including the judicial, executive, and legislative branches.
