Mathematical Aspects on the Phase Shift Network of RC Oscillators
Audiofrequency generators are frequently used both as independent circuits and as components of various electronic devices. In this paper, the study focuses on one of the components of RC type oscillators, respectively on the feedback network. This has an important role in terms of ensuring a certain phase shift between the output signal and the input signal. In addition to this aspect, other quantities were also deduced, such as the attenuation of the output signal and the cut-off frequency. The influence of the number of RC-type stages was analyzed, too. The calculations were done analytically, in order to obtain accurate results. The numerical values obtained analytically for a case study were compared with the numerical results given by a specialized circuit simulation software. The conclusions confirm the statements made in specialized works.
