Some Considerations on the Dimensioning of Ancillary Service Transformers of Power Plants
In this paper, the authors present the application of power sizing methods for internal block service transformers through a representative case study of a combined heat and power plant. These complex calculation algorithms were assisted by own calculation programs developed in Mathcad programming environment. Then in order to verify that the chosen transformer ensures the starting or self-starting conditions of the great self-service motors, it is proposed to use simulation models of starting induction motors using the schematic circuit editor in the ANSYS Simplorer interface.
