Mathematical Considerations Regarding the Maximum Power Transfer in Inductive Power Transfer Circuits

The study of wireless power transfer systems has been a continuous concern of scientists in the last years. This was due to the development of technologies in the field and the increase of the number of electronic applications that use the principle of wireless power supply. The inductive power transfer systems have experienced the greatest development up to now, their study being still a current topic. The present work aimed to add a contribution to the theoretical study regarding the inductive power transfer circuits by performing some exact mathematical calculations regarding the identification of the conditions for obtaining a maximum active power transferred to the load. Different situations were considered. The results obtained by calculation were interpreted in correlation with the real functioning of the system. This study completes the known theory in the field.
