Automatic System for Compacting Metal Waste

The paper presents an automatic system for compacting metal waste from food consumption (boxes or empty cans). The compaction process is found in waste recycling systems. For the compaction system proposed in this paper, there are several automatic control solutions, both in the classic version - with contacts and relays, as well as with PLC. The verification was done through simulation using the dedicated FluidSim software.
