Leadership in Islamic Education: Integrating Ethical Values in the Digital Age
This study explores the integration of ethical values within leadership in Islamic education in the context of the digital age. Utilizing a qualitative research approach, this article employs library research to analyze existing literature on leadership models and ethical principles in Islamic education. The research aims to understand how Islamic educational leaders can effectively uphold and promote Islamic ethical values while adapting to the rapid technological advancements shaping the current educational landscape. Central to the inquiry is the exploration of leadership frameworks that harmonize traditional Islamic ethics, such as justice, trustworthiness, and responsibility, with the dynamic challenges posed by digitalization, including the management of online learning environments and the ethical use of technology in education. The study reveals that Islamic educational leaders must not only demonstrate strong ethical conduct but also possess the ability to navigate technological tools in ways that reflect Islamic values. Additionally, the findings suggest that effective leadership in this realm requires continuous engagement with both classical Islamic thought and contemporary digital literacy to address the ethical dilemmas arising in modern educational settings. The research contributes to the broader discourse on leadership in Islamic education, offering insights into how leaders can maintain moral integrity while fostering innovation in the digital age.
