Electromechanical Transient Process in a Three-Phase Cage Induction Motor Due to Sudden Step Change in Supply Voltage Frequency

In this paper, electromechanical transient process occurring in a three-phase cage induction motor due to a sudden step change in frequency of the time-harmonic supply voltage is analyzed using small-signal linearized complex differential equations of the motor dynamic model. The electromechanical transient analysis is corroborated by case-study numerical results.

Abstract

In this paper, electromechanical transient process occurring in a three-phase cage induction motor due to a sudden step change in frequency of the time-harmonic supply voltage is analyzed using small-signal linearized complex differential equations of the motor dynamic model. The electromechanical transient analysis is corroborated by case-study numerical results.
