Educação popular, do campo e o desenvolvimento local sustentável
From the approximation of countryside and popular education, this study discusses the possibilities of sustainable local development based on converging points between the categories. In this perspective, development is associated to human and social growing, in which human growth is primary, reaching conditions to create or strength their autonomy so that people involved could participate in decision making, planning and execution of actions. Thus, people development precedes the local thrive from where they live, acting like outgrowing agents. This requires actions that take into account future generations, therefore, sustainable measures. This is study is based on exploratory research of qualitative nature. It lists converging points from educational contexts, inside and outside of the school, guided by a popular education base that valuates all participants, seen as subjects with rights, different needs, and that together can dialogue and plan a non-hegemonic society, but a place of plurality and good for a decent human life, instead.
