Vapor‐Phase Synthesis of Poly(<i>para</i>‐xylylene): From Coatings to Porous and Hierarchical Materials (Adv. Funct. Mater. 47/2024)

Hierarchical Materials Parylene polymers are extensively utilized across electronics, aerospace, automotive, and biomedical fields due to their exceptional properties. Recent advancements have enhanced their physical and structural characteristics, facilitating better integration into devices and enabling their transformation into three-dimensional monolithic structures with precisely controlled micro- and nanostructures. In article number 2313511, Fang-Yu Chou, Yu-Chih Chiang, Hsien-Yeh Chen, and co-workers show that novel templated fabrication techniques now allow the synthesis of nanoscale particles, hierarchical and gradient architectures, and the development of dynamically reconfigurable shapes at the nanoscale.
