Dorsolateral Transdural Surgical Management of Spontaneous Intracranial Hypotension From Ventral Dural Cerebrospinal Fluid Leaks: Case Series and Technical Report
The dorsolateral transdural surgical approach is a safe and effective method to repair type 1 CSF leaks caused by ventral dural defects. Our case series of 12 patients did not involve any surgical or immediate postoperative complications, and all patients had radiologic resolution of their leaks with relief of positional headaches. Two patients experienced continued headaches after treatment.
