Lab-Based Electrical Parameterization of TerraE 30E Cell
With the growing demand for efficient and reliable battery technologies, understanding the electrical performance of batteries has become crucial in various industries and applications. This paper presents a comprehensive study on the Lab-based Electrical Parameterization of a specific Lithium Ion Battery manufactured by TerraE, with a capacity of 3 Ah. The study focuses on accurately characterizing and quantifying the electrical behavior and properties of the TerraE Cell. Experimental methods involving detailed cell opening, coin cell preparation, and analysis techniques such as Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP), Porosimetry and Open Circuit Voltage (OCV) measurements are described and performed. The obtained results provide valuable insights into the performance and behavior of the TerraE Cell, enabling optimization for energy storage applications. Additionally, these results serve as a valuable validation tool for simulative routines using physical chemical models. By validating these with simulation, the design of cells can be facilitated with increased accuracy, allowing for easier and more efficient cell design. This work contributes to the development of improved energy storage solutions, addressing the increasing demand for efficient batteries in various industries.
