Usage Unified Power Quality Conditioner (UPQC) Controller On Distribution Networks Base Simulation and Analysis
Power quality disturbances in the Distribution Network cause losses both from the generation side and from the load side, therefore a mechanism is needed that can anticipate these problems. This research offers a method that is able to overcome these problems. Especially those related to disturbances caused by Voltage sage, Voltage swell and Overcurrent Load due to changes in load characteristics on the repeater network. The method used in overcoming these problems is to utilise the work of power electronic devices and the design of filters and transformers connected in series and parallel on the repeater line. The main method that will be carried out in this research is to design a switch matrix control and LC Filter. Switch matrix control serves to determine the power electronic equipment and select the filter design to be selected. The filter design is adjusted to the voltage disturbance cluster due to changes in power factor and voltage that may occur. Dynamic Voltage Resoster itself has a multiswitch filter that will overcome power quality failures such as Voltage sag and Voltage swell by adjusting the value of the inductor and capacitor in the DVR filter. While DSTATCOM itself functions to overcome power quality disturbances such as Overcurrent Load. In the research that will be analysed and simulated, the amount of disturbance that occurs with variations from +- 5%, +- 10%, +-20% and +-30%. Based on the results of simulation tests and validation tests, it can be concluded that this research can work well with a voltage tolerance of less than 5% and Valid. DVR and DSTATcom will be configured simultaneously and controlled by UPQC depending on the fault conditions that occur in the electricity distribution network.
