A Novel Approach to Zero Ω Transmission Line Analysis and Design at W-Band and Beyond
At G-band and beyond, DC feeding circuits pose significant challenges. Circuit elements shrink in size as frequencies increase and for that reason traditional methods of delivering DC power using transmission lines (TLs) encounter limitations, the $\lambda / 4$ line length is too short and an electrical length larger than $\lambda / 2$ presents high losses. In response to the challenges outlined above, this work introduces a novel low ohmic transmission line design methodology (zero- $\Omega$ TL), underpinned by rigorous mathematical analysis. This methodology provides a structured and systematic approach to designing the zero- $\Omega$ TL by analyzing the characteristic impedance of individual lines -an approach that saves computation time and effort.
