Decentralized Social Media Application using Blockchain Technology

Today, the majority of services are run by a single, centralized organization, which creates problems and raises questions about user privacy and data security. Another significant issue in the modern world is locating those who distribute false information. There is no comprehensive method to find them and stop such news from controlling users and abusing them. This is one of the key problems with the current systems, which blockchain technology may address thanks to a number of crucial features like immutability, improved security, and decentralization. As blockchain technology developed, it enabled the decentralization of numerous applications without compromising security. Some of the main issues with traditional social media may be resolved using the immutability and great security of the blockchain network. The study and research conducted in this paper tries to construct a decentralized social media application integrating blockchain technology with the main elements of already existing social media platforms in order to ensure user privacy, increase data security, and provide a mechanism to identify false news sources so that appropriate action can be done against them quickly and easily.
