Il curricolo di matematica nella scuola italiana: radici, intrecci, ramificazioni
In this article we discuss the various cultural, social, epistemological and didactic drives that have influenced the evolution of mathematics curricula in Italian schools. Particular attention will be paid to the influence of Hans Freudenthal’s ideas, in opposition to the formalist tendency prevailing after World War II, and to the impact of the frameworks of the major international surveys, in particular the OECD-Pisa framework.
