Publisher’s Note

IOP Publishing presents Volume 2877 of the open-access Journal of Physics: Conference Series (JPCS) as the HAPP 10th Anniversary Commemorative Volume. This volume of JPCS is quite different to standard IOP Conference Series proceedings volumes which contain a single edition of a conference. This unique volume contains contributions from the St Cross Centre for the History and Philosophy of Physics (HAPP) derived from a decade of HAPP termly one-day conferences and standalone lectures and seminars. We hope this compilation will contribute to discussions about philosophy and methodologies that inform how current research in physics is undertaken and will be useful for the general public, scientists, historians and philosophers.
