A CASE OF WANDERING SPLEEN WITH SPLENIC INFARCTION: A RADIOLOGICAL CURIOSITY.
Wandering spleen is a rare condition characterized by the displacement of the spleen from its normal anatomical position in the left upper quadrant of the abdomen. This anomaly results from a congenital failure in the development of one or more of the intraperitoneal visceral ligaments responsible for maintaining the spleen's position. We present a case of a pediatric patient with wandering spleen complicated by splenic infarction, highlighting the clinical and diagnostic challenges associated with this rare condition.
