Revealing the Universal Pressure‐Driven Behavior of Hybrid Halide Perovskites and Unique Optical Modifiability in Extremely Soft 2D Tin‐Based System (Adv. Funct. Mater. 46/2024)

Hybrid Halide Perovskites In article number 2414437, Lingping Kong, Jue Gong, Mercouri G. Kanatzidis, Gang Liu, and co-workers unveil a behavior evolution pattern of the physical properties of hybrid perovskites under hydrostatic compression. This general pattern is applicable to both lead-based and tin-based perovskites assuming 3D and 2D crystal structures. By using the general pattern as an instructional guide and choosing appropriate peak pressures, large bandgap tunability and sensitivity are discovered along with irreversible defect healing and PL enhancement in the tin-based 2D perovskites after pressure treatment.
