Patriotic component of large-scale holidays in modern Russia

The modern generation lives in conditions that are very diff erent from the time of their parents: diff erent values, ideals, and thoughts. Many people's attitude towards their country and its history has changed. The lack of certain knowledge about the peculiarities of historical development and the denial of traditional values become fertile ground for the involvement of the younger generation in illegal activities. Today we should build our future on a strong cultural foundation. Such a foundation is patriotism. Patriotism is respect and love for one’s Fatherland, its history, traditions, values, original culture, and the vast experience accumulated as a result of the peaceful coexistence of numerous ethnic groups on our territory.
