Sustainable water production study from simulation humid air by condensation unit
This work provides a sample of how to address the global water crisis at a meager cost by using the moisture-rich air of Gulf countries, including Iraq, to produce clean water. This new solution to the worsening electricity crisis is highly efficient, economical refrigerators that can rationalize electricity consumption. By applying the simulation, we can produce these refrigerators in a small size that can be easily carried. Good quality water was produced by condensing moist air using cold surface tubes and compressed gas (turbidity = 1.82, pH = 7.1, Total Dissolved Solids TDS = 10). It is a strong competitor in the amount of water produced (10-14 L/day) at a temperature of (20-40) ºC and a humidity of less than 40%. The temperature, velocity and pressure distribution inside the tube have been studied to explain the gas behavior, by performing a simulation of the main condensing unit, and studying experimentally the effect of temperature, humidity and time on the volume of water generated.
