Development and Performance Test of a 1 kW-class Laboratory Model Hall Thruster
The electric propulsion system is a crucial component of satellites and spacecraft for various advanced missions, including orbit maintenance and transition, attitude control, formation flying, constellations, and deep space exploration.Hall-effect thrusters, known for their high thrust-to-power ratio(50 -60 mN/kW) and specific impulse(above 1600 s), have been widely utilized in numerous space missions. This paper discusses the development and performance evaluation of a new laboratory model 1 kW-class Hall thruster(KHT-1000LM).In discharge tests, the Hall thruster demonstrated stable operation, producing a thrust of 55 -86 mN and a specific impulse of 1500 -1940 s at a xenon flow rate of 2.9 -4.5 mg/s and an anode power of 930 -1510 W. , , , .
