System Design and Application for Thrust Measurement of Scramjet Model in a Shock Tunnel

A three-component stress-wave force balance system for thrust measurement of scramjet model in a shock tunnel was designed. To isolate the system from external disturbances, an aerodynamic shield and vibration isolation mounts were used.Stress bars containing strain gauges were installed between the model and vibration isolation mounts. The system was calibrated and applied for shock tunnel tests under Mach 6 flow condition to verify the feasibility of thrust measurement. To simulate the thrust environment, nitrogen was injected at a 6-degree angle relative to the freestream direction.Test results showed that, when nitrogen was injected compared to when it was not, the lift and moment increased by 1.9 N and 1.3 Nm, respectively, and drag decreased by 19.2 N. Consequently, the nitrogen injection angle was measured at 5.7 degrees, and the thrust was calculated to be 19.3N. . , . , 6 . 6 . , 1.9 N, 1.3 Nm , 19.2 N . 5.7 19.3 N .
