Employment status of multiple sclerosis patients in Japan
The results suggested that the onset of MS prevented patients from working and forced them to resign from their jobs or give up full-time work. The rate of employment tended to be lower in the group with advanced limitations; suggesting that controlling the progression of limitations may lead to lower turnover, and the rate of health-related activity limitations was correlated with the degree of physical activity limitations, depression, and fatigue, respectively.
