Construction of a MOF/Polysiloxane-Based Nanocomposite Membrane with Precise Gas Separation Phototuning
Modified ZIF-8/polysiloxane nanocomposite membranes were readily fabricated, and their permeance photoresponse was studied. The membranes exhibited good efficiency in reverse propane and carbon dioxide purification by tuning the MOF loading, polymeric membrane thickness, photoirradiation dose, and wavelength. The report proves the capability of precise gas permeance tuning of an MOF/polymer-based nanocomposite via UV light for highly controlled molecular/ion sieving, showcasing its potential in sustainable gas separation technologies.
