Real-world adherence of ofatumumab treated patients in the UK: early results from a non- interventional study

To present the early results of a retrospective, non-interventional, real-world study designed to describe adherence and clinical outcomes of adult multiple sclerosis (MS) patients treated with ofatumumab in the UK, and to evaluate the impact of the UK patient support programme (PSP), KesimptaConnect (KC) on adherence. MS centres prescribing ofatumumab as part of routine clinical practice have been recruited for the study, including centres receiving support via KC. The primary endpoint is to describe the medication possession ratio (MPR) calculated adherence of ofatumumab treated patients over 13-months. Secondary endpoints will include evaluation of the impact of MPR adherence on clinical effectiveness measures, including changes in annualised relapse rates, disability worsening as measured by the Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) and MRI results. All analyses will be descriptive, and no formal comparisons will be performed. 200 patients are planned to be recruited from 6 centres. MPR will be calculated for all patients and reported both continuously and categorically. Analysis will be performed for the whole study population and subgroups. This is the first study to describe the real-world adherence of MS patients to ofatumumab in the UK and evaluates the impact of a PSP (KC) on adherence.
