Antennas' Phase Difference Measurement Techniques for Wireless localization Applications using Angle-of-Arrival
In this paper, a new measurement technique and setup is presented to measure the Phase Difference of Arrival (PDoA) at multiple antenna(s) output vs. the Angle-of-Arrival (AoA) of incident EM wave to be used for localization purposes in wireless devices. This measurement technique can be applied to Ultra-Wide Band technologies or any other wireless technology supporting such features. The utility of the setup is demonstrated by performing the measurement PDoA vs. AoA on some antennas' examples e.g. two UWB antennas printed on the same PCB. The measurement results related to AoA localization feasibility are presented and discussed.
