Effects of Pre-cooling Treatment on Exercise Performance - Systematic Review

The background of this study is that high body temperature during exercise impairs exercise performance capability. Pre-cooling before exercise can hasten to facilitate heat loss and optimize exercise performance capability. The purpose of this study is to find out the effects of delaying heat stress and reduce fatigue substances through pre-cooling method. As a research method, previous studies related to pre-cooling treatment were collected and analyzed. Pubmed, Web of Science, Wiley Online Library, KSEP, DBPIA, Korean Studies Information Serive System, DOAJ(Directory of Open Access Journals), Kyobo Scholar, PubMed Central, Moazine e-Magazine Portal, and eARticle were utilized for this study. The results show that pre‐cooling improves ‘aerobic’ and ‘anaerobic’ exercise performance with a greater benefit for method with mixed ingestion and immerse.
