Effects of Youth Basketball Players' Application of Re-Warm Up on the Reduction of Skill-Related fitness

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of applying warm-up and re-warm-up on the decline in skill-related fitness of adolescent basketball players(n=20). The subject in this study were who belong to the Korea secondary school basketball federation(KSSBF) and have no musculoskeletal injury in the last six months. All subject evaluated agility, speed, jump, and dynamic balance with a term of one week between two types of warm-up exercises (WU, RWU). As a result of analyzing the difference in agility according to the warm-up method, there was a statistically significant difference in warm-up conditions (p=.018*) and no statiscally significant difference observed in re-warm up conditions (p=.432). There was a significant difference in jump in warm-up conditions (p<.001) and no significant difference in re-warm up conditions (p=.371). There was a significant difference in speed in warm-up conditions (p=.007**) and no significant difference in re-warm up conditions (p=.262). There was no significant difference in dynamic balance ability in both conditions. Therefore, it is expected that applying Re-Warm up after warming up will have a positive effect on improving performance by preventing decreased physical performance.
